Junior Instruction and Development
Old Drovers Run offers many different options for junior development. Throughout the season there will be clinics broken into age groups. Individual lessons are also available for students who work better one on one or who are looking to further develop their skills.
Beginners
Juniors who are just starting out and may or may not have clubs of their own are welcome to participate in Beginner Instruction.
Juniors will learn the following:
- Rules and Golf Etiquette
- Proper stance and alignment
- Swing Fundamentals
- Putting and Chipping
Intermediate
Juniors who have their own clubs and who have been involved in the game for at least two years are welcome to participate at the intermediate level.
Juniors will learn the following:
- Recap of beginner fundamentals
- Swing analysis and tuning
- Shot decisions and choice
- Video analysis and lesson recaps after each lesson
Advanced / Player Development
Juniors who have their own clubs and who have been involved in the game for at least 4 years are welcome to participate at the Advanced level. In this stage Players will participate in playing lessons more often than range lessons so they can learn under the same conditions as playing.
Juniors will learn the following:
- Recap of Intermediate fundamentals
- Swing analysis and tuning
- Scoring
- Game Management
- Video analysis and lesson recaps after each lesson

About Brendan
Brendan Baldwin is Old Drovers Run’s Director of Golf and Lead Instructor. Brendan is a local professional who grew up 10 minutes from the Old Drovers Course. He Played Junior Golf in Manitoba before going on to play college golf at Chicago State University, a Division One school
in Chicago Illinois. In his Senior year Brendan passed his Players ability at the PGA Village and received his Professional Status. Since than Brendan has been instructing all ages but excels in Junior Development.
